Job summary

Eyemart Express is seeking a Front Desk Associate (Optometrist's Technician) for a full-time position. You will assist the Doctor, serve customers, and support sales of eyewear and contacts. Responsibilities include pre-tests, data entry, insurance processing, and order fulfillment, with comprehensive benefits and growth potential.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced optical retail environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in retail, customer service, or sales preferred.
Training available to learn optical industry responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all patients.
Sales and Promotions: Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions and policies on payments, returns and exchanges.
Transaction Processing: Compute and process payments/refunds using the in-house POS system.
Administrative Tasks: Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Insurance Claims: Process insurance claims efficiently.
Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products.
Patient Files: Create and maintain patient files per HIPAA policies.
Data Entry: Input customer information accurately.
Patient Assessment: Assess needs and suggest appropriate products.
Patient Sign-In: Sign-in patients and document insurance eligibility.
Pre-Test Procedures: Perform pre-tests like NCT, auto-refraction, etc.
Contact Lens Orders: Order/receive lenses and coordinate pickups and inventory.
