Responsibilities

• Complete patient registration and gather medical history and ocular health data into EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with patient care and eye examinations; explain preliminary testing to patients and document results.
• Support remote eye exams by guiding patients through pre-testing and coordinating video conferencing.
• Transition patients to retail staff with doctor recommendations.
• Preauthorize insurance and manage appointment scheduling with respect to no-shows and cancellations.
• Maintain patient records and assist with contact lens orders and fittings.
