Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Lancaster, PA is seeking a licensed optometrist to join the Vision Center and support the Vision Center Manager with evidence-based eye care in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform comprehensive eye exams, prescribe medications, educate patients and staff on eye health and contact lens care, and coordinate referrals with ophthalmologists as needed, while documenting findings accurately.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Active state license in good standing.
• PGY-1 in family practice, low vision care, pediatric or geriatric optometry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications as needed.
• Educate patients and store associates on eye health and contact lens care.
• Perform comprehensive eye exams and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Coordinate referrals with ophthalmologists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records per regulations and guidelines.
