Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Associate Optometrist in Michigan to partner with the Vision Center Manager, delivering evidence-based eye care and managing patient treatment plans. You will educate patients and staff, coordinate referrals with ophthalmology, and maintain comprehensive records while ensuring excellent patient service in a fast-paced vision center.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited program.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.
• Post-graduate training (PGY-1) in areas such as family practice, low vision, pediatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications and treatments per guidelines.
• Educate patients and store associates on eye health and contact lens care.
• Consult with ophthalmologists and other health professionals to coordinate patient care plans.
• Document patient history, assessments, and treatment plans promptly.
• Support vision center operations and customer service and collaborate with staff.
