Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a licensed Optometrist in California to perform comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage eye conditions, and prescribe eyeglasses or contacts. The role requires strong patient communication and the ability to document findings clearly in medical records.

The Optometrist will work to improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction while adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• The Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and active California license are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects.
• Hands-on experience with eye examination tools such as ophthalmoscope and tonometer.
• Ability to explain medical terms simply and clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests.
• Diagnose defects of the eye and related conditions; manage diseases, injuries and disorders.
• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality.
• Provide patient counseling on eye care and treatment options.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists when surgery or advanced care is needed.
