Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose vision problems, and prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications as appropriate. You will build lasting patient relationships through education, collaborate with staff on lens selections with the latest coatings, and provide pre- and postoperative eye care as needed.

Qualifications

• Verbal interview with patient prior to examination to determine health and ocular history, medical issues, reasons for visit as well as visual wants and needs.
• Establishing patient relationships through education and ongoing care.
• Clear communication with opticians about lens options and coatings.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Eye exams
• Establishing long term patient relationships through proper patient care and education
• Instructs, recommends and advises patients as to their options for remediation of ametropias, systemic and ocular disease as well as visual wants and needs.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgery patients
• Promote eye health through patient counseling
