Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group is seeking a licensed Optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams and build lasting patient relationships. You will interview patients to assess health, ocular history, and visual needs, and explain treatment options, coordinating with staff as needed.

The role emphasizes eye health education, accurate testing, and prescribing glasses/contacts while promoting the latest lens technologies. On-site daytime schedule with benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through patient care and education.
• Conduct verbal interview to determine health/ocular history and patient needs.
• Instruct and advise patients on remediation options for ametropias/disease; hand off to staff as needed.
• Promote patient loyalty and Acuity Eyecare Group values.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications.
• Recommend vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
• Provide pre/postoperative care for eye surgery.
