Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group is seeking a licensed optometrist to conduct comprehensive eye exams and patient education on eyecare. You will build long-term relationships, assess health history, diagnose and treat refractive errors and eye diseases, and coordinate postoperative care with the surgical team.

The role includes promoting eye health, advising on lens options, and collaborating with staff to ensure top-tier patient care and service. On-site work with full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.
• Benefits applicable to full Time Employment only.

Responsibilities

• Establish long term patient relationships through proper patient care and education.
• Performs verbal interview with patient prior to examination to determine health and ocular history, medical issues, reasons for visit and visual needs.
• Instructs, recommends and advises patients on remediation options for ametropias and ocular disease; hand-off to staff after recap.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results; diagnose sight problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications; provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehab.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care and refer patients to other providers as needed.
• Promote eye health and educate patients on lens options and care; communicate with staff for optimal product recommendations.
