Job summary

Indian Health Service in Spokane, WA seeks a qualified optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. You will examine, diagnose, and treat diseases of the visual system and related structures, and manage emergencies in ocular care.

Qualifications

• Education: Applicants must have a Doctor of Optometry degree from an educational program accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE).
• Licensure: NBEO examinations and a current, full, unrestricted license to practice optometry in a State, DC, PR, or a U.S. territory.

Responsibilities

• Performs the full range of professional optometric physician duties, including examining, diagnosing, and treating diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye diseases.
• Provides comprehensive primary eye care, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment of ocular diseases and disorders.
• Provide emergency ocular care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
