Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an ACOE-accredited program.
• Passing NBEO examinations and possession of a current, full, unrestricted optometry license.
• GS-12: one year residency or one year of professional optometry experience.
• Education transcripts or course list recommended for applicants.

Responsibilities

• Examinations, diagnosing, and treatment of diseases and disorders of the visual system, eye, and related structures.
• Provide comprehensive primary eye care including examination, diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases.
• Provide emergency ocular care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye diseases.
