Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and evaluate ocular health.
• Establish long‑term patient relationships through care and education.
• Perform pre-visit interviews to gather health history and visual needs.
• Advise patients on remediation options and coordinate with staff.
• Generate patient loyalty and promote Optometry values.
• Conduct vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems and ocular diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications when appropriate.
• Recommend treatments such as vision therapy or rehabilitation.
• Provide postoperative care after eye surgery and follow‑ups.
• Identify systemic diseases and refer promptly to other providers.
• Counsel on eye health and proper lens care and frame selection.
