Responsibilities include vision testing, diagnosing refractive errors, prescribing glasses, contacts, and medications, and providing necessary postoperative support when applicable.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Perform eye exams and vision tests.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Conduct verbal interviews to assess ocular history and visual needs.
• Explain remediation options for refractive errors and ocular diseases.
• Promote eye health and recommend appropriate eyewear options.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure optimal patient experience.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care where applicable.
• Refer patients to other healthcare providers when needed.
