Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group seeks a licensed optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams and extend high-quality patient care. You will help educate patients about eyecare and build lasting relationships while promoting the practice's values.

You will diagnose refractive and ocular conditions, prescribe glasses, contacts, and medications, and participate in post-operative care when needed, contributing to practice growth and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Optometry degree and state licensure required or eligible.
• Licensed to practice in PA with board certification status current.
• Strong patient communication and examination skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts eye exams and visual assessments.
• Establishes long-term patient relationships through care and education.
• Performs verbal interview to assess health, ocular history and needs.
• Instructs and advises patients on remediation options and care.
• Promotes patient loyalty and supports Acuity Eyecare Group values.
• Performs vision tests and analyzes results.
• Diagnoses refractive errors and ocular diseases.
• Prescribes glasses, contacts, and medications.
• Recommends treatments such as vision therapy when appropriate.
• Provides pre- and postoperative eye care follow-up.
