Job summary

Acuity Eyecare is seeking an optometrist to conduct comprehensive eye exams and educate patients while supporting practice growth. The role emphasizes building lasting patient relationships and providing high-quality ocular care.

The optometrist will prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications, perform pre- and postoperative care, and promote eye health through patient education and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited school.
• Licensed to practice by state boards.
• Excellent patient communication and education skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams.
• Build long-term patient relationships through care and education.
• Obtain health and ocular history and discuss visit goals.
• Advise options for remediation and refer to staff as needed.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care after eye surgery.
• Promote eye health and patient education.
