The Indian Health Service in the United States seeks an optometrist to provide full professional eye care, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the eye and visual system. You will deliver primary eye care and emergency ocular services in outpatient and inpatient settings, improving Native community health outcomes.

This role requires a Doctor of Optometry from an AC0E-accredited program, NBEO licensure, and eligibility for professional practice.

Formación

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an ACOE-accredited program.
• Current, full, unrestricted optometry license in a U.S. state, DC, PR, or territory.
• One year of residency or professional experience at GS-12 level equivalent preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat ocular diseases.
• Provide primary eye care and emergency ocular care in outpatient/inpatient settings.
• Diagnose and treat wide range of eye diseases and disorders.
