Job summary

HealthDrive Corporation is seeking an Optometrist to provide on-site optometry services across Flint and Saginaw, MI, on a part-time or full-time basis. Travel between facilities is required, with an uncapped production-based pay structure and a $10,000 sign-on bonus available at five days per week, prorated for part-time.

Full-time benefits begin on day one, including 100% malpractice coverage and administrative support.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.).
• Current state professional license is required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to travel to facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
• Diagnose and treat refractive and ocular disorders; manage eye diseases.
• Enter patient information and documentation in the EMR system.
• Daily travel to skilled nursing facilities to treat patients.

Overview

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Part Time or Full-time (2-5 days per week) covering work sites across Flint/Saginaw, MI and the surrounding areas.

• $10k Sign On Bonus available at 5 days per week. Prorated for part-time.*

Responsibilities

The Optometrist will provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
