Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to cover nursing homes and long-term care facilities across greater Flint, MI, on a part-time or full-time basis. Flexible scheduling with no evenings or weekends required, and a sign-on bonus for full-time at 5 days/week (prorated for part-time).

You’ll operate with clinical autonomy, an established patient base, and 100% malpractice coverage, backed by a full administrative and regulatory support team.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) required.
• State professional license required.
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate required.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email and the internet and to learn healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system and eye.
• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient information and complete required clinical documentation in the EMR system.
• Daily travel to skilled nursing facilities for mobile patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Part Time or Full-time (2-5 days per week) covering work sites across greater Flint, MI and the surrounding areas.

* $10k Sign On Bonus available at 5 days per week. Prorated for part-time.*
