Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to provide general optometry services across nursing homes, assisted living, and long-term care facilities in Flint, MI and surrounding areas. You will practice in a mobile model with daily travel and clinical autonomy, in a team-supported setting.

The role offers flexible scheduling with 2–5 days per week, a production-based pay structure of $700+ per day, and a $10k sign-on bonus prorated for part-time. Full benefits start day one for full-time staff.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate of Optometry (OD) degree required.
  • State professional license required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • TPA certification or Legend Drug Certificate required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
  • Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
  • Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
  • Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
  • Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our EMR system.

Overview

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Part Time or Full-time (2-5 days per week) covering work sites across greater Flint, MI and the surrounding areas.

* $10k Sign On Bonus available at 5 days per week. Prorated for part-time.*

  • Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
  • Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
  • Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
  • Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
  • Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
  • Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)
  • State professional license
  • Valid driver's license
  • TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
