Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to provide on-site optometry services in nursing homes and long-term care facilities across North Detroit/Eastern Michigan. The role offers part-time or full-time options with flexible scheduling and no evening or weekend hours.

Earn $700+ per day under a production-based pay structure, with a $10k sign-on bonus for 5 days per week. Full-time benefits begin day 1 and a comprehensive support team backs clinical work.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) required.
• Current State professional license.
• TPA certification.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience using EMR systems and email/internet.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
• Diagnose and treat refractive and ocular disorders.
• Examine, diagnose, and manage diseases of the eye and related structures.
• Identify systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient data and complete clinical documentation in EMR.
• Travel daily to skilled nursing facilities for mobile patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Part Time or Full-time (2-5 days per week) covering work sites across North Detroit/ Eastern, MI and the surrounding areas.

* $10k Sign On Bonus available at 5 days per week. Prorated for part-time.*

Essential Functions:

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
