Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a part-time Optometrist to serve residents in nursing and long-term care facilities around Wausau, WI, with travel to nearby areas. The schedule is three days per week with no evenings or weekends and includes mileage reimbursement.

You will provide comprehensive eye care, maintain EMR documentation, and work with full administrative support and 100% malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) required.
• State professional license required.
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.
• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders; diagnose and treat ocular disorders.
• Examine, diagnose, treat and manage diseases of the visual system and eye; identify related systemic conditions.
• Enter patient information and complete required clinical documentation in our EMR system.
• Mobile model: daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
