Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist for on-site, long-term care facility work across North Detroit/Eastern MI. Flexible schedule with no evenings or weekends; opportunity for part-time or full-time (2–5 days/week). 100% malpractice coverage and full administrative support accompany a strong benefits program.

Compensation includes a daily minimum of $625 with production upside to $800+ per day and a $10k sign-on bonus for 5 days/week. Travel required, laptop with EMR provided.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (OD) is required.
• State professional license is mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• TPA certification is required.
• Ability to work independently daily.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email, internet and learn healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
• Examine, diagnose and manage refractive and ocular disorders.
• Document patient information in the EMR system.
• Travel daily to different facilities within assigned territory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Part Time or Full-time (2-5 days per week) covering work sites across North Detroit/ Eastern, MI and the surrounding areas.

Updated Compensation:

• Oppotunity to earn $800+ per day via production with a $625 daily minimum.
• $10k Sign On Bonus available at 5 days per week. Prorated for fewer days.

Responsibilities

The Optometrist will provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions:

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
