Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to work in Southeast Massachusetts, with both Part-Time or Full-Time options (2-4 days per week). The role involves on-site care in nursing facilities, providing comprehensive eye exams and managing visual health with clinical autonomy.

Responsibilities include diagnosing refractive and ocular disorders, entering patient data in our EMR, and daily travel to facilities. On-site support and a robust benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)
  • State professional license
  • Valid driver’s license
  • TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
  • Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
  • Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
  • Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
  • Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
  • Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Part-Time or Full-time (2-4 days per week) in Southeast Massachusetts (work available in the Plymouth/Bristol county areas).
