Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to provide on-site general optometry services in nursing homes and long-term care facilities within Southeast Massachusetts, Plymouth and Bristol counties. The role is full-time (4 days per week) with patients seen in facilities and mobile visits to sites.

Earn $700+ per day through production with no evening or weekend hours, mileage reimbursement, and a full benefits package starting day one.

Qualifications

  • OD degree and state license to practice.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with email, the internet and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
  • Diagnose ocular disorders from age-related illnesses.
  • Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases of the eye and related structures.
  • Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
  • Enter patient information and document in EMR.
  • Daily travel to facilities for mobile treatment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Full-time (4 days per week) in Southeast Massachusetts (work available in the Plymouth/Bristol county areas).

Responsibilities

The Optometrist will provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions:

  • Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
  • Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
  • Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
  • Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
  • Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
  • Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)
  • State professional license
  • Valid driver’s license
  • TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
