EssilorLuxottica's Metro Optics practice seeks an Optometric Technician to support eye exams, patient records, and testing. The role links the doctor and primary care functions to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

You will perform pre-exam tests, operate diagnostic tools, manage scheduling, POS, and maintain HIPAA compliance. Weekend/evening shifts vary by location; the team emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and patient care.

Qualificações

• 2+ years’ experience in optometry/ophthalmology or healthcare.
• Knowledge of optical and medical terminology.
• Understanding and utilization of optical equipment and diagnostic testing.
• Coaching skills.
• Strong communicator and listening skills.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of office environment.
• Strong basic math skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow.
• Performs tests aiding the optometrist in vision examinations e.g., acuity, depth/color tests, retinal imaging.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient info; consults with Optometrist or Manager as needed.
• Maintains patient records and HIPAA compliance in an organized manner.
• Operates scheduling procedures and the point-of-sale system for transactions.
• Performs pre-examination testing and explains measurements to patients.
