EyeCare Partners LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Optometric Technician to support ophthalmologists and optometrists by performing initial tests and preparing patients for exams. You will operate equipment such as lensometers, autorefractors, keratometers, retinal cameras, visual fields, and OCT to assist clinicians.

Role emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and adherence to HIPAA and clinic policies. Weekend availability may be required, with a strong focus on accurate testing and professional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or equivalent.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Background check as required by state; proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support.
• Comply with all company policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Operate testing equipment such as manual/auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, and OCT.
• Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity).
• Clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip.
• Interact courteously with all levels of staff in a professional manner.
• Carry out general office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager.
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused team environment.
• Support flexible scheduling including weekends as needed.
