Job summary

Grene Vision Group seeks an Optometric Technician to support eye care operations in a busy practice. You will help with patient flow, perform initial tests under the supervision of an optometrist, and verify insurances while interacting professionally with patients and staff.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma, comfort with HIPAA, and strong customer service skills. Prior medical front desk or optometry experience is preferred, with availability for varied hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; optometric experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow and assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
• General office duties and cleanliness as assigned by manager.
