America's Best, part of National Vision, is seeking an Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant to support the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing before the doctor examination. You will help maintain efficient patient flow and ensure accurate preliminary results.

No optical experience is required and training is provided. This full-time role offers Sundays off, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for growth within a national leader in eyewear and eye care.

Qualifications

• Retail/optical experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge.
• Explain preliminary examinations clearly to patients.
• Maintain professional appearance and atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care.
• Maintain professional atmosphere in the office and pretest room.
• Understand ocular terminology and abbreviations.
• Explain types of preliminary examinations to patients.
• Perform testing prior to doctor examination.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for special needs.
• Ensure equipment maintenance for doctor and pre-test rooms.
