Job summary

The Eye Doctors in Manhattan, KS seeks an Optometric Technician to support the patient experience and assist clinicians with initial testing using optical equipment. The role emphasizes handling patient flow, maintaining equipment, and delivering accurate test results to prep patients for exams.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year in a customer-facing role, basic Microsoft Office skills, and a high school diploma or GED. On-site position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of interaction with customers/patients or equivalent experience.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Favorable background check result required; proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering the Total Patient Experience and provide great medical support.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies and procedures.
• Operate optical testing equipment such as lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, and visual field devices.
• Follow testing scripts for photos, visual fields, and visual activity.
• Maintain clean examination equipment and work area; interact professionally with staff and patients.
• Perform general office duties as assigned and help create a positive, patient-focused environment.
• Attend to scheduling needs, including weekends or extended hours as required.
