Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician in Omaha, NE to support optometrists, perform pre-exam testing, and help coordinate patient care. You will assist with specialty diagnostics, manage scheduling, and ensure accurate medical records in the EHR while upholding HIPAA compliance.

The role emphasizes delivering high-quality patient experiences through teamwork, attention to detail, and clear communication with patients and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Experience maintaining patient records per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to exam and assist with specialty diagnostics.
• Schedule referrals and manage appointment workflows.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR with HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries about medications and treatments.
• May act as a scribe or perform refractions.
• Support doctors and education for patient care.
