Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary testing, and documenting medical history. No optical experience? Training will be provided to learn pretest procedures and visual screenings.

The role may require weekend and evening shifts and reports to the Office General Manager. You will contribute to a best-in-class patient experience and grow with our team through role-specific training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand basic math.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, product and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
