Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient prep. You will learn to operate pretest equipment and assist with visual screenings, contact lens training, and patient coordination. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with strong people skills.
• Interest in learning about optics and vision care.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for prep.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and office staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during the appointment.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training for applicable patients.
