Job summary

Rochester Eye Care Associates, PLLC in Rochester, NH seeks an Optometric Technician to join a patient-care team. You will prepare patients for examinations, conduct diagnostic testing, and document results as you support eye doctors throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Healthcare environment experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and help create a friendly, professional experience.

• Prepare patients for eye examinations and gather medical and vision histories.

• Measure and document visual acuity and other preliminary testing.

• Perform diagnostic testing including IOP, retinal photography, visual fields, OCT, and other testing as directed.

• Explain testing procedures and provide patients with clear instructions to obtain accurate results.

• Document patient information and testing results in the EHR.
• 6
• Assist optometrists throughout the patient-care process as needed.

• Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care.

• Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the office.

• Collaborate with staff to provide an excellent patient experience.
