As an Optometric Technician for MyEyeDr., you play an essential role by providing direct support to our Doctors of Optometry in preparing the patient for their visit, including preliminary testing and measurements. No optical experience? No problem! Some weekend and evening shifts are required.

You Will

• Consult with patients, accurately document existing conditions and complaints, and chart medical history to prepare for the Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and other office staff throughout appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during their visit.
• Learn to use all pretest equipment through company training to perform visual screenings for patients prior to visiting with the doctor.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide a seamless patient experience.

About You

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand and do basic math.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening processes.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willing to learn about industry, products, and services.
• Team player committed to providing the best patient experience.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
