Job summary

LensCrafters is part of EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in eyewear and eye care. This full-time Optometric Technician role supports the optometrist, coordinates patient flow, and ensures the LensCrafters Experience with high-quality care.

You will assist during exams, manage records, and contribute to a positive patient journey in a busy retail setting. You will greet patients, help prepare them for exams, verify information, and maintain equipment and cleaning protocols.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Leadership skills.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Organization skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations and prepare patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; identify special needs.
• Maintain patient records and HIPAA-compliant processes.
• Support retention and exams scheduling, calls and reminders.
• Maintain inventory and organize exam areas.
