Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support physicians and enhance patient experiences in Cincinnati. You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic procedures, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure efficient and high‑quality visits.

The role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent communication with patients. You will work closely with Optometrists to deliver exceptional eye care and maintain accurate, HIPAA‑compliant records.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• PC skills including MS Office, Windows and word processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with co-workers and patients.
• Industry certifications (CPO, CPOA, CPOT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Optometrists with patient care and education.
• Perform pre-testing procedures and post-exam tasks.
• Schedule doctor appointments and manage calendar.
• Record patient data in EHR and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
• Assist with diagnostic testing using specialty equipment as needed.
• Support clinic operations and maintain orderly records.
