The role requires performing preliminary patient evaluations, assisting with tests like OCT and visual acuity, and maintaining HIPAA‑compliant records.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Windows.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post‑exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications or treatments.
• Assist with contact lens insertion/removal and inventory.
• Support billing and CPT code checks as needed.
• Contribute to end‑of‑day wrap‑up and clinic cleanliness.
