Job summary

AEG Vision in Palos Heights, IL seeks an Optometric Technician to support doctors and enhance patient experiences. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, manage the doctor’s schedule, and help ensure efficient, high-quality care from start to finish.

You will document findings in the Electronic Health Records, respond to patient questions about medications and treatments, and coordinate referrals while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent attention to detail in fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure a smooth flow.
• Document findings in the EHR and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Provide patient education and answer questions about treatments.
• Support refraction and other duties as needed.
