Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and deliver high‑quality patient care. You will conduct pre‑testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure smooth patient flow.

You’ll participate in procedures and post‑exam tasks, maintaining accurate patient records and contributing to a collaborative, learning‑driven practice that values leadership and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic meds, Optomap, etc.).
• Schedule referral appointments with ophthalmologists and other specialists, complete paperwork.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with policies (HIPAA).
• Assist with diagnostic testing using specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry).
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient patient flow.
