Clarkson Eyecare is seeking a Medical Assistant (Optometric Technician) in Chesterfield, MO. The role supports patient flow and assists doctors with preliminary testing to prepare patients for exams.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, strong customer service, and basic computer skills, with healthcare office experience preferred. This full-time position requires flexibility, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients.
• Favorable result on background check.
• Must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering great medical support.
• Comply with all company policies and HIPAA.
• Operate testing equipment (manual/auto lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera).
• Communicate with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
