Clarkson Eyecare in O'Fallon, MO is seeking an Optometric Technician/Medical Assistant to support doctors with preliminary testing and patient flow. The role involves assisting in testing and coordinating with staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The position requires basic computer skills, strong communication with patients, and a willingness to learn. Some travel to other Clarkson Eyecare sites may be required; office hours include weekdays and some weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Favorable result on background check as required by state
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing
• Verify medical and vision insurances
• Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
• Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests
