Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare, based in Chesterfield, MO, is seeking an Optometric Technician—Medical Assistant—to support ophthalmology workflows and patient testing. You will assist clinicians, verify insurances, and communicate with patients and staff in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, strong customer-service skills, and the ability to work within HIPAA guidelines. Full-time hours with a flexible schedule are available; travel between locations may occur.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
