Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Florissant, MO is seeking a Doctor's Assistant (Optometric Technician) to support doctors with preliminary testing and patient flow. This role requires excellent customer service, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will work full time, Monday–Friday with occasional weekends, perform testing with ophthalmic equipment, verify insurances, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Favorable result on background check and ability to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow and assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances and communicate with patients and staff.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, and in person; maintain professional interactions.
