Job summary

Target Optical in Myrtle Beach, SC is hiring a Casual Part-Time Optometric Technician to deliver exceptional patient service, support the optometrist, and help guests choose frames and lenses that fit their needs.

In this role you will greet guests, explain paperwork and services, review prescriptions, manage patient records, process lens orders, operate the POS, keep displays tidy, and assist with safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of strong guest service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Sales skills.
• Knowledge of store merchandise.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide attentive service.
• Explain required paperwork and services to guests.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Maintain organized patient records and organize files.
• Process contact lens orders and submit invoices.
• Operate POS system and handle payments.
• Keep displays clean, attractive and organized.
• Assist with scheduling and safety/compliance.
