Job summary

For Your Eyes Only Optometry is seeking an Optometric Technician I to support optometrists in delivering high-quality patient care and to help manage pre-screening, exams, and post-exam follow-up in a fast-paced clinic in Walnut Creek, CA.

You will collect patient histories, perform diagnostic tests, assist with contact lens training, verify insurance, and help schedule visits while maintaining accurate documentation and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in customer service (optometric experience preferred but not required!).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and connect with patients
• Strong organizational and time management abilities—you’ll be multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a passion for self-improvement and a desire to learn new skills
• Detail-focused and capable of documenting patient exams and procedures with accuracy
• Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules as needed and a proactive attitude toward team success
