Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin is seeking an Optometric Technician to perform optical dispensing, assist with clinical testing, and support front-desk operations in a patient-centered Eye Care Center.
You will triage patients, assist with tests such as acuity, tonometry and visual fields, and manage eyewear orders in a modern EMR environment, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

This position is eligible for a $1500 SIGN ON BONUS for joining GHC!

The Optometric Technician provides all optical dispensing services, and point of sale services related to eyeglasses, contact lenses and other merchandise using an electronic recording keeping and ordering system. They are responsible formaintaininga cost effective, attractive retail environment conducive to selling quality products. Additionally, they also provide routine and urgent clinical care tomaintainocular health and general well-being of the patient.
Other duties include performing triage and scheduling of patients,assistingthe optometrists in preliminary testing as well visual field testing, digital photography, triaging phonecallsand My Chart messages withappropriate documentationin the electronic record, automated appointment scheduling, and other tests as needed.The incumbent works under general direction,guidanceand supervision from the Eye Care Center Manager in a medical office environment. Additionally, Optometrists provide direction and guidance to the Optometric Technician.
