Job summary

Visionworks seeks a personable Optometric Assistant to be the face of our Exam Practice, guiding patients through early steps of their eye care journey with warmth and clarity. In this part-time role, you’ll handle preliminary testing support, maintain patient records, and help educate patients on products and services while keeping the store operations smooth and welcoming.

Experience in customer service is preferred, HS diploma or equivalent required, and a passion for helping people see great

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
