Job summary

Kintegra Health is hiring for a Certified Optometric Assistant / Ophthalmic Technician in Gastonia, NC. You will lead scheduling for mobile vision clinics at schools and within Kintegra Health facilities, coordinating with district staff, nurses, and principals to meet student needs.

The role requires Optometric Assistant Certification and 6 months to 1 year of virtual ophthalmology/optometry experience, plus at least 2 years as an Optometric Assistant. Proficiency in Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Optometric Assistant Certification required.
• ICA-accredited training or IJCAHPO/AAO independent study program preferred.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of virtual Ophthalmology/Optometry experience required; at least 2 years as Optometric Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Outline strategic scheduling for mobile vision clinics at schools and Kintegra Health facilities.
• Coordinate with nurses, county health officials, principals, and district admins to adjust schedules as needed.
• Maintain programmatic data points and communicate schedule changes to stakeholders.
