Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a friendly OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our Exam Practice, guiding patients through the initial steps of their eye care journey with warmth and accuracy.

You will handle preliminary testing, maintain patient records, introduce patients to the optometrist, and support a smooth transition from doctor to sales on the floor.

Qualifications

• Customer or patient experience is preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate/recommend products and services that meet eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operations to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
• Open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
