Job summary

Visionworks in Tennessee is seeking an Optometric Assistant to be the face of our Exam Practice, guiding patients through the Visionworks experience with a friendly, human touch.

Responsibilities include collecting patient records, coordinating with the OD, assisting on the exam lane, stocking, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to support a smooth, compliant, patient-centered visit. This is a part-time role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
