The Role

A Visionworks Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant is the face of our exam practice, dedicated to ensuring a positive patient experience. This role involves training and knowledge in eye health, preliminary testing, optics, and managed vision care. The CS guides patients through the initial steps of their eye care journey, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and warmth.

• Maintain accurate patient records before preliminary testing
• Introduce patients to the OD and share important information
• Assist in transitioning patients from the doctor to the sales floor, educating them on products and services
• Support store operations including restocking, cleaning, and answering phones to enhance the patient experience

Qualifications

• Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
